about us

Welcome to Fat Cat Music Studio.

Our goal is to create the best musical experience possible with each student! Lessons include exposure to a variety of music genres, styles and skills that will help every student discover joy in music that will last for a lifetime.

Fat Cat Music Studio is owned and operated by Julie Gunvalson.

Julie has been playing the piano since age 5 and teaching piano since 2001. She studied piano performance at Hamline University and has worked many years as a professional musician playing in bands, worship teams, and as an accompanist. She loves teaching music and is grateful for all of the wonderful students and families that she's met and played music with over the years!
