Julie has been playing piano since age five. She graduated from Hamline University in St. Paul, MN and has spent over two decades as both a working performer and a private instructor.

Her teaching philosophy is simple: every student deserves a strong musical foundation, exposure to a variety of genres and styles, and the opportunity to find genuine joy in music — joy that lasts a lifetime.

Fat Cat Music Studio stays small on purpose. Julie works with a carefully selected group of students because great teaching requires real attention. Students who study here tend to stay for years.
